My Approach

There’s a story beneath the pattern.

Sometimes the things we want to change about ourselves are the very things that once helped us get through difficult experiences.

Maybe you learned to handle everything yourself, keep your feelings to yourself, anticipate everyone else’s needs, or pull away when relationships feel difficult. Those patterns didn’t necessarily develop without reason, and I’m not interested in simply telling you to stop doing them.

I want us to understand what they’re doing for you, where they came from, and whether they’re still serving you in the way you need.

How we work

My approach is rooted in attachment theory and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which help us explore how our experiences shape the way we connect, communicate, and respond emotionally. I also incorporate an Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed perspective to approach the different parts of ourselves with curiosity and compassion.

Depending on your needs, I integrate Gottman-informed approaches, CBT, DBT skills, mindfulness, and self-compassion to help you develop practical tools alongside deeper emotional understanding.

  • Self-Compassion

Whether we’re working individually or as a couple, my goal isn’t simply to help you change your behavior. It’s to help you understand what’s happening beneath the surface so you can respond to yourself and the people in your life with greater awareness, connection, and choice.

Because sometimes change begins with understanding why you’ve been doing what you’ve been doing.
